We will also focus on Property Lists, the Defaults Preferences system, and launchd, underpinnings to automation. On day 3 we will focus on AppleScript Studio and Perl. At the beginning of day 1, each attendee will select some important real-world workflow problems, and then focus throughout the rest of the course on solving those specific problems with automation.
You WILL be able to leave this session with the techniques you need to get started automating (and quite possibly with a working automation you developed in-class to solve one of your problems).
