David S. Long is the founder and President of v.2 Consulting. He has been working in the IT industry for over 10 years, first as technician for Northern Telecom (when it was an all-Mac shop) then as a Project Manager at Ziff-Davis in charge of MacUser and MacWeek magazines. He then headed the IT merger of Macworld and MacUser magazines and was the IT Manager for Mac Publishing while still a Project Manager for Ziff-Davis. He founded v.2 Consulting in January 1999 and currently provides support and IT assistance for over 30 clients. v.2 Consulting is still the only member of the Apple Consultants Network that is also an Apple Certified System Administrator in San Francisco.

David began teaching technical training in February 2002 shortly after Apple first offered certification classes. Since then, he has held and maintained all Apple Certifications including being an Apple Certified Trainer. David teaches often but still maintains regular clients to "get out in the field". He enjoys new technology but maintains that it should be easy to understand, but certification isn't a ticket to knowing everything about OS X, or any O/S. You need practical experience much like a doctor must complete residency and chefs must spend years in the kitchen perfecting their skills. By the way, David attended culinary school and cooked professionally for over 5 years.

Douglas Worley is a many-sided die with accomplishments all over the map. He graduated with honors and degrees in both archaeology and history, and spent a summer in Romania on a series of digs searching for Roman aqueducts and paleolithic settlements. In his time he has been an Eagle Scout, a competitive Highland Dancer, museum curator, EMT, model, theatrical lighting designer, lifeguard, and has even performed with a cancan troupe.

Douglas has been involved with education, teaching and training since his teens in the Boy Scouts and docenting at State Parks. Previous to his engagement with v.2 Consulting, Inc., Douglas was one of the lead training specialists at a local Apple Store where he trained customers on usage of Mac OS X and the related applications amongst other topics. His leadership helped distinguish his store as one of the most successful in training, offering more individualized sessions per capita than other nearby stores and personally garnered a popularity with his regular attendees.
